Yes. Obviously Everett is an OC and not everybody is going to have the same characterisation but I always figured upon meeting the twins you really wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between them but where with Blaine it’s a defense mechanism (and partially wanting to be like his brother who he looks up to), Everett is just being pretentious and cool. I also always figured that Everett’s promiscuity is because he was trying to find in sex with others the way his brother makes him feel—because he can talk all he likes about being okay with their unorthodox relationship but the world is telling him it’s wrong and he can’t be in love with his brother and he believes it despite the fact it’s not true, so he thinks it must just be sex but he will never find that with anybody but Blaine but nobody understands him like his brother and nobody treats him the way his brother does. Everett needs a lot of patience because he does a lot of pretending and denial and it takes patience to get past that. Blaine needs somebody who will take him to kickboxing classes and fight club and let Blaine beat the shit out of him if he needs it and Everett would do that and beat the ever living shit out of somebody who hurts Blaine because he knows that Blaine bottles up a lot of his anger and won’t take it out on those who pick on him. It will always be my headcanon that Everett was the one who told Blaine to have courage when Blaine was nervous about transferring to Dalton, even though Everett doesn’t remember. They fit together and make up the parts of each other where they might be lacking and protect each other in different ways that makes them absolutely formidable when they’re united.
